When is it safe to switch back to normal shampoo?

I colored my hair brown a few months ago and I have been using color safe shampoo and conditioner. How many months after coloring is it safe to switch back to my normal shampoos that do not necessarily say ';Safe for colored hair?';

keep using a color safe shampoo and conditioner as long as you want the color to keep looking good. Most non color safe will make the brown fade or turn brassy (orange/yellow). If it was a semi or demi permanent color that you used you can switch back once it's faded away (usually about 6 weeks) but if it was permanent, keep using it.
