Flea and tick shampoo safe for people?

okay... So I was wondering if the flea and tick shampoo for dogs is safe for people... I know this probably sounds crazy, but I go outside ALOT and we have alot of ticks around my house. I used it once when I came inside and my dad told me that there were alot of ticks out. Nothing bad happened then. It seemed like an easy alternative, but I was wondering if it is harmful to people. I didn't think it was but my mom was freaking out.Flea and tick shampoo safe for people?
