How To Know If The Shampoo You Use Is Safe For Your Hair?

Like it doesn't contain any harmful chemicals or untested ingredients that might damage your hair. How To Know If The Shampoo You Use Is Safe For Your Hair?
Check the labels of your shampoo / conditioner for the following potentially harmful ingredients:

1) In Shampoos:

- Diethanolamine (DEA or TEA)

- Propylene Glycol

- Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)

- Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)

- Benzyl/Benzene

2) In Conditioners:

- Diethanolamine (DEA)

- Propylene Glycol

Sodium laureth sulfate (SLS), is not actually made from coconut oil like the label says. The strong fragrance in shampoos and conditioners is a dead giveaway of synthetic chemicals -- a leading cause of allergic reactions. Sometimes a product will have as many as 5 different chemical preservatives -- methyl and propyl paraben being common preservatives that are strong sensitizers and cause dermatitis.

If you use a lot of products in your hair which tend to build up over time, you should consider buying shampoo to clarify your hair. Avoid buying shampoo which is packaged with conditioner, because the two products have different functions.

Shampoos bought from professional hairdressers are usually of a much better quality, as those bought from stores usually contain a high amount of silicone. This is a kind of plastic that adds shine by coating the hair shaft. The best shampoos do not include silicone, but use more natural ingredients such as herbs and Awapuhi. How To Know If The Shampoo You Use Is Safe For Your Hair?
The most damaging chemical that fries your hair is sodium lauryl sulfate. Definitely stay away from that....it is in a lot of shampoos.
Hi there! I had a girl friend who switched to an organic shampoo...And she LOVES it!! I'm not sure which brand she uses, but try looking at this search, where I've entered the keywords %26lt;safe shampoo, organic%26gt; on a Google Search and this is the results I got...I'm sure you'll find a good brand there!!
