noIs is safe to bathe my puppy with soap or regular shampoo?
Oh! Thats a BIG NO NO!

Human shampoo and soaps can cause dryness and itching to the dog.

I'm hoping you washed her bed with NON-HUMAN detergent.

Remember when bathing a pup, first introduce to them the tub or whatever you are going to bathe them in.

Let them stand there like a few seconds.

Let them familiarize with the tub.

Repeat the process for a few days, until the pup is totally comfortable with being in the tub.

A non-slip mat will definitely needed. Makes the pup feel more secure. ;)

if i were you i would not use human shampoo on your dog because it can irritate its skin %26amp; severely hurt its eyes if it gets in them. you should just not let the dog sleep in the bed til tomorrow, %26amp; tomorrow u should run 2 the store %26amp; get dog shampoo. %26amp; u should consider getting dog shampoo for sensitive skin because some dogs have flaky %26amp; sensitive skin.
Actually, a bit of Dawn soap won't hurt the dog nearly as much as human shampoo. The pH of human shampoo, as well as the perfumes, can strip the dog's skin, and make her itchy. We use Dawn at the Humane Society shelter for a lot of dogs' first baths, because it doesn't harm their skin, and it kills fleas.
Baby shampoo would be best, and I think anything from Johnson %26amp; Johnson would be a good bet too...try to make sure that it doesn't have perfume or a smell though.

If you have unperfumed bars of soap, use that, but make sure she doesn't eat the soap because many dogs do...including my puppy.
Most dogs would rather skip bath time, but bathing plays an important role in the health of your dog's coat and skin, helping to keep your dog clean and free of dirt and parasites. And of course, there's the added benefit of making your pooch more pleasant to be around.

Basically there is no problem if it is just once. On regular basis use a dog's shampoo. Just be sure your dog has no eruption or any skin sensitivity that may be enhanced by the shampoo. I am assuming is just regular shampoo no additives.

Best regards
Soap will probably dry out the skin. I have washed my dogs with human shampoo and followed it with human conditioner and they are fine. It is better to use a good dog shampoo though. Maybe an oatmeal shampoo. Its good for skin and coat.
Best not, it can dry out the skin, and your dog could be allergic. Just bathe her in normal water for now (or just wait until tomorrow?). Do you have any baby shampoo? That's good, as it's very gentle on the skin.
I wouldn't do it, not good for their skin.

Do you have any baby shampoo? You can use that if you want.

If not just put a dirty sheet on top and wait until you buy some puppy shampoo tomorrow.
Wouldn't use soap but shampoo yes if you read the ingredients in human shampoo and dog shampoo the same! Just want to charge you twice as much. Actually think ppl shampoo has more moisturizer!
it might dry out her skin. put a sheet or blanket over the bed so she'll sleep on that and then get puppy shampoo and then take off the sheet or blanket so there will be a basically clean bed for the clean puppy
Shampoo for humans has a different PH balance and it can irritate the puppy's skin.

You should wait until you get a puppy shampoo.
it will make there skin dry, dull in color,or even red. pet shampoo is the best for it it doesnt matter what brand as long as its for pets!!
use dishsoap then and rinse with cool water no shampoos for humans it will dry out the skin and shell itch...rinse rinse rinse...
dont use human stuff it might make your dog bald and buy the dog stuff itll be nicer for the dog
